Workouts are great no matter why you do them. But, it is especially important to do some strength training when you hit menopause, since as you get older, your muscles lose their elasticity and that leads to weight gain too. Just a couple of times a week, find some spare time to devote to exercising and you will be amazed with the outcome.

#2 Sleep

Sleep is very important and we all know that. The thing is, there are a lot of important processes going on when you fall asleep. When your sleeping pattern is disrupted – that leads to weight gain, and the chances are higher during menopause. That is why you need to make sure that once you go to bed you are going to have some nice, refreshing sleep – nothing else is allowed to happen in your bed.

#4 Physical activity

It is important to be active, whether you are in menopause or not. Just a few minutes of walking daily can save you a great deal of excess weight gained.

#5 Sugar

A little bit of sugary food is fine, but you should learn how to control your sugar intake to avoid weight gain and hot flashes. It is always great to substitute mere sugar with fruits, keep that in mind!
