Today, we have prepared something interesting for you. It is a sitting test, which can help predict how long you will live. The creator of this test is Claudio Gil Araujo. In developing this test, he wanted to make it qualitative and unique.

His predecessors failed to make a practical test that would be available to everyone. How can you do this test? Firstly, you need to wear comfortable clothes and be barefoot, with clear space around you.

Then, without leaning on anything, lower yourself to a sitting position on the floor. Now stand back up, trying not to use your hands, knees, forearms or sides of your legs. The two basic movements in the sitting-rising test include lowering to the floor and standing back up, each of them scored on a 1-to-5 scale, with one point subtracted each time a hand or knee is used for support and 0.5 points subtracted for loss of balance, so this yields a single 10-point scale.

What’s more, this sitting test was conducted on 2,002 adults between the ages of 51 and 80 (mostly men) with an average follow up of just over six years. About 159 people died during this time.

The main thing is these deaths followed the test pattern. It is scary, isn’t it? However, this test was not done with younger people, and Claudio Gil Araujo believes, the earlier you’ll do it, the longer you’ll live.
