Water is certainly one of the things that many people tend to take for granted, even though it is very important to have. Generally, not much thought is put into the way you’re drinking water, right? To get the most out of your water drinking habits, follow these 4 tips:
#1. Sip your water
The natural saliva that you have in your mouth has another purpose besides keeping your mouth wet, it also works to balance the acidity in your stomach. In order for it to move down, it goes with the water you drink. Taking big gulps of water, doesn’t let the water to sit in your mouth long enough to mix with your saliva before going down.
Instead of chugging, sip your water before swallowing.

Take a moment to observe a cat or dog drinking water. You’ll realize that they simply wet their tongues in order to ingest water. Follow your body’s cues and listen to your tongue when it wants water, rather than focusing on drinking a specific number of cups throughout each day.
#3. Rinse your mouth
As you sip your water, let it slosh around inside of your mouth for a few seconds before swallowing. This will help make your digestive processes calmer and more effective.

#4. Room sitting water
Cold water is not the best choice for consumption. Actually, it hinders your system’s functioning. Rather than coating and hydrating your stomach, it shocks it and all the bacteria in the area, not providing any benefit. Consume your drinking water at room temperature, or lukewarm for the best benefits.
