There are various symptoms of clogged arteries; they can include breathing problems, sudden weakness, confusion, severe headaches, loss of consciousness, blurry vision, trouble with speech, paralysis, trouble walking, dizziness, unexplained falls, and loss of coordination or balance. The symptoms of clogged arteries often depend on the type of arteries that are being affected.

Turmeric is a spice used a lot in Asian cooking. There is an element in turmeric called curcumin which has been known to have positive effects on artery plaque. Turmeric extract is thought to reduce LDL cholesterol and decrease the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

Capsaicin is found in cayenne pepper and this can help reduce the level of bad cholesterol in your blood this can significantly lower your risk of stroke and heart attack and improve blood circulation.

Drinking water with lemon juice added to it every morning is not only tasty and refreshing but it can also benefit the health of your heart. Lemon reduces cholesterol levels in the blood. Lemons also contain a a large amount of vitamin C and this has been found to help strengthen arteries.

#6. Cinnamon

Cinnamon can help deal with many risks that present themselves with atherosclerosis and heart disease. Research has shown that cinnamon can help reduce the risk factors of cardiovascular disease.

#7. Ground flaxseed

Ground flaxseed is high in fiber. It contains alpha-linolenic acid and omega-3 acid that can lower inflammation and blood pressure which can prevent clogging of the arteries.

#8. Fermented cabbage

Kimchi is a popular Korean recipe for fermented cabbage and hot peppers , these contain probiotics that have been found to slow down clogging.

Sesame seeds can help unclog already blocked arteries.

#10. Pomegranate juice

The high antioxidant quantity in pomegranate juice is thought to help inhibit the formation of plaque, to unclog arteries and to fight atherosclerosis. Pomegranate juice also contains magnesium and selenium which are important for heart health.

Other foods which can help are asparagus, avocado, broccoli, chia seeds, fenugreek seeds, and coconut oil. It is also important to exercise for about 30 minutes a day three to five days a week.
