#1 Peppermint Foot Cream
You need ingredients such as:
- Peppermint essential oil (antibacterial, muscle relaxant) – 7 or 8 drops
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (antifungal, antibacterial) – 2 tablespoons
- Shea butter (deeply moisturizes skin) – 2 tablespoons
- Sweet almond oil (moisturizes skin) – 1 tablespoon
Firstly, you should put 2 tablespoons of shea butter in a microwave-safe container, and add 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil to it. Add 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin coconut oil as well. Then, you need to microwave the ingredients for 1 to 2 minutes until they melt completely. Take the container out of the microwave, and let the blend cool down to room temperature.
Secondly, you need to squirt in 7 or 8 drops of peppermint essential oil. You should know that essential oils are extremely volatile, any heat will render them ineffective. Stir well to dissolve the peppermint oil in the oil blend. Allow the ingredients to solidify completely. You can place it in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to solidify (for quick results).
Thirdly, you should use a hand blender to whisk up the solidified mix until it turns into a frothy cream. Transfer the cream to a shallow, tin can for storage. The foot-balm is ready!
#2 Aloe Vera Foot Cream
You need ingredients such as:
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (moisturizes skin) – ¼ cup
- Fresh aloe vera gel (revitalizes skin) – 2 tablespoons
- Lavender essential oil (anti-inflammatory) – 5 drops
Firstly, you need to put ¼ cup of extra-virgin coconut oil in a mixing bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel to it. Then, add 5 drops of lavender essential oil in it.
Secondly, you should use a motorized hand blender to whisk up the ingredients. This process will aerate the mixture and give it a creamy consistency. Spoon the DIY foot cream into a tin container for storage. Done!
Wash your feet with warm water and apply the foot-balm, covering your problem areas. Massage it well until it is completely absorbed into the skin. Do this procedure on a daily basis for best results. Take care!
