These days there is no one to surprise with your hitting the gym every time you can or working out at home whenever there is a spare minute. Living healthy is trendy not to mention that it is great.

But very often people go to the gym without proper knowledge how what to do and how should they do it. The thing is that there is a lot of motivational material online with all possible techniques described. What no one is willing to tell you is that not all exercises are equally effective for everyone. What is more, some exercises may cause you more harm than good not to mention the absence of the result you intended for.

To save from all of the described above, we wish to list seven exercises that surely do not work for everyone and then it is up to you to decide what to do with this information.

#1. Pull-down behind the head

If your shoulder joints are not mobile enough a wrong move can lead to something as serious as shoulder impingement. What is more, if you hit the back of your neck you can end up with cervical vertebrae injury.

#2. Military press behind the head

This exercise is pretty similar to the one described above, and the consequences can be pretty much the same.

#3. Upright row

If you pull weights this way, you may compress the nerves in your shoulder area.

#4. Leg press with cramped knees

This exercise is good until you decided to go too far with the weights and that leads to pain. Any sign of pain or discomfort – you should stop immediately.

#5. Squats on the smith machine

Working on your booty is great but one wrong move or position while working with Smith machine can cost you far too much.

#6. Bad form of cardio machines

Do not hunch over the machine or you can damage your spine, shoulders, and elbows.

#7. Exercises for spot reduction

It has been said many times before – you can’t tone up one area if you do not carry out a complete workout routine.
