Household injuries are most often due to careless or improper handling of the most common items: knives, electrical appliances, household chemicals. And, of course, if you have an injury, the main thing is not to panic, but to provide first aid.

What to do in this case? First of all, you need to calm down, turn off your emotions and start treatment. Any trauma requires a measured and decisive action, and you must be collected and attentive. Look at the tips how to treat minor injuries and accidents at home:

#1. Bruises. You should clean it with warm salty water or with any disinfectant and apply a piece of ice on it. Observe the damaged area: if the pain and the swelling do not go away within seven days, there is a suppuration and the body temperature rises, you need to see a doctor.

#2. Sprains. You should place a pack of ice on the necessary place to reduce inflammation.

#3. Cuts. Treat the cut with any antiseptic or simply rinse with soap and water, then apply a bandage or a patch there.

#4. Choking. Bend a person over and hit his back. Try to do the Heimlich maneuver.
