Periods are what every woman on Earth have to go through. What is even worse is the period that precedes the menstruation itself – PMS – premenstrual syndrome. That is the time when women feel anything but great; they feel paranoid, anxious, depressed, etc.
But there are cases when your PMS gets to a whole new level, and it feels like you do not want to live anymore. Many of you may think that this sounds like a regular depression of a teenager but a certain number of women have to go through that ‘depression’ every single month.
What is more, some women become angry and violent, and that seriously disrupts their lives. As the history proves, some people can’t do what they actually like because they are most likely to break down when the time of ovulation comes.
Severe PMS is how we are used to referring to it is actually called PMDD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder. As it turns out it is very easy to misdiagnose even for experienced doctors until you point out the repetition of the cycle. What is more, many people take it like nothing serious – it is how women nature works, they say.
But that is more than just misleading. It should be taken into consideration that people suffering from PMDD are prone to not only thinking about killing themselves but also trying to commit suicide and who knows how many women committed suicide on this ground.
That is why if you feel like this is your case – there is no use for suffering any longer. The thing is that once PMDD became real, the doctors figured out that there are lots of ways to help the women in need.
There are lots of treatments, and most of them are very easy to follow, there is usually some non-invasive treatment, but it depends on your condition, experience, preferences, etc.
The key point is – not to suffer in silence, speak up and ask for help when needed!
