American neurophysiologists have conducted a series of observations of meditation and yoga and concluded that such exercises really improve brain function and help people control their emotions better. In recent years, scientists have begun to take an active interest in the way meditation, yoga and other oriental practices affect human consciousness, behavior and body condition.
Meditation is one of the five principles of yoga. This is the practice, the essence of which is the constant observation of the mind. This means that you need to focus your mind at one point, to make it calm and still and to realize yourself.
Through the practice of meditation you will achieve a deep understanding of yourself, gain strength and confidence in your actions. It will also help you achieve greater clarity of mind, improve your concentration, and gain wisdom and tranquility within yourself.
Meditation is a strong personal and spiritual experience. The goal pursued by every meditation technique is to direct our consciousness to a more positive channel, completely transforming the state of mind. To meditate is to direct your consciousness inward to concentrate on the source of all thoughts and identifications.
The whole process of meditation usually goes through three stages: concentration (dharana), absorption by the object of meditation (dhyana), and the state of total absorption, when the subject and the object of meditation merge into one (samadhi).
A person preparing for meditation begins his journey inward from the concentration on a certain object (this can be breathing, mantra, yantra, thought, emptiness, etc.). As soon as attention is absorbed by the object, the concentration turns into absorption or dhyana.

In this state, the mental dialogue stops, the mind freezes, breathing slows down, the circulation of prana in the body increases. If the practitioner continuously follows the object of meditation and does not allow the mind to become distracted, the absorption increases as long as the meditator and the meditation object are merged.
There are many theories explaining why physical exercises and yoga exercises make a person more energetic and improve the work of the brain. The reason for this can be both the isolation of endorphins, and the improvement in the blood flow to the brain, as well as the suppression of wandering thoughts.
Take just a few minutes out of each day to bring yourself to a state of calm and wellness and balance your life using a combination of guided meditations and mindfulness techniques. The techniques are a simple, practical relaxation method for anyone.
