#1. The first exercise
This method was taken from yoga. It will stimulate your breathing, restore your energy levels and boost your memory. Keep your mouth closed and breathe through your nose. Your breath in and breathe out should be very short.
You should try breathe in and breathe out three times in one second. Then breathe normally for several seconds. Don't do this exercise for more than fifteen seconds on your first attempt. Each time of practice, you should rise your time in order to reach a whole minute. This exercise may replace coffee and make you feel fresh and energetic.
#2. The second exercise
This method is very easy-to-follow and it can be performed anytime and everywhere. First you should straighten your spine, puttip of the tongue behind the teeth and let it stay for the whole exercise. If you feel uncomfortable, you may slightly purse your lips.
Make a loud noise and exhale through your mouth again. Then close your mouth and inhale through your nose, counting to four. Hold your breath for nine seconds. Make a loud noise and exhale through your mouth for nine seconds. This is the first cycle of exercise. In order to complete this practice, you should repeat it three times.
This exercise is a perfect remedy to eliminate stress. If you will use it every time you feel stress or anger, you will become more relaxed and happy.
#3. The third exercise
This breathing technique is used in Zen practice. It is pretty difficult to master it with the first attempt. You should sit down comfortably, straighten your back and slightly incline your head. Shut your eyes and take several deep breaths. Your breathing should be slow and relaxed.
In order to start this meditation, count “one” to yourself as you exhale. The next time you exhale, count “two,” and so on up to “five.” Start a new cycle, counting “one” on the next exhalation. You should try to do this practice for ten minutes.
