#1.There is a high risk of transmission from other people with HIV. Modern research shows that HIV is the least likely to be transmitted from HIV carriers.

#2. HIV shortens life significantly. Modern medicine and cure can help HIV positive people to live long and happy lives. This myth is an old one and irrelevant to our time.

#3. HIV people are likely to consume a lot of medicine that have bad side effects. The cure is optional. Sometimes it is about 1-2 medicines which can support a HIV positive person throughout his/her life.

#4. Gay men and drug addicts are the most likely to get HIV. These two groups are at high risk, but are not the only ones to suffer from HIV.

#5. It is possible to indicate an HIV positive person by how they look. Dark circles under eyes and pale complexion is not an indicator of HIV. Forget about it.

#6. Condoms and clean needles are the only means of prevention of HIV transmission. These are a must, but there are a lot of other ways of prevention that one can use additionally.

#7. HIV positive people can do nothing to resist infections. That is not true. As we mentioned before, modern medicines allow HIV positive people to avoid contamination.

#8. HIV is transmitted with oral sex. The likelihood of transmission is so low, that this way of transmission can be considered a myth.
